The Puritan Aquamind TM Water Conditioner filters out the harmful minerals and chemicals in your water that cause problems for you and your home. Installing a Puritan Aquamind TM Water Conditioner will save you money on repairs, soaps and shampoos, clothing, lotions, and conditioners because soft water decreases the amount of soaps and shampoos you need to get clean.       The Puritan Aquamind TM also saves you money on the amount of water and salt needed to soften your water. It's as easy as pre-setting two dials for the time and hardness of the water, and the Aquamind TM will automatically monitor the needs of the water conditioning system. The Aquamind TM will only clean the mineral tank when necessary, using less water and salt to clean the system. When the resin bed needs to be cleaned (a process called "regeneration"), a brine solution is passed from the salt tank into the resin bed. The brine solution recharges the resin bed and the hardness minerals are discharged into the drain. The valve then draws rinse water into the resin tank to remove any remaining brine solution. The water conditioner is now recharged and ready to use again, completely controlled by the Aquamind™ .
